How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling is an in-office, non-laser treatment that works below the skin’s surface. We will first numb the skin with topical anesthetic to reduce any discomfort from the needles. Next, we pass a small microneedling pen designed with a head of tiny needles over the skin. This pen moves the needles up and down very quickly as it ‘stamps’ the skin with the small needles to create small wounds. The skin responds immediately with its natural healing response and this is what triggers collagen production. The skin becomes noticeably smoother and radiant as it continues to heal and regenerate.
