Dr. Mina Amin is a Board Certified Dermatologist who was born and raised in Los
Angeles. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los
Angeles (UCLA), where she graduated summa cum laude.
Following her passion for medicine, Dr. Amin obtained her medical degree at the
University of California Riverside School of Medicine, graduating with high honors. She
went on to specialize in dermatology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center
where she obtained comprehensive training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic
dermatology. Dr. Amin served as chief resident within the program. In addition, given
her excellent technical skills and patient care, she also directed the resident cosmetic
clinic.
After completing her training, Dr. Amin continued within the Kaiser system as an
attending physician while serving as a clinical professor at the Kaiser Permanente
Medical School. During this time, she supervised and taught residents in the UCLA
Harbor dermatology program as well as medical students.
She has become one of the recognized voices within the dermatology community with
thousands of followers online and publications in Vogue, Allure, Glamour, SELF, Marie
Claire, HuffPost, and HealthCentral. In addition, she has published over 50 peer-
reviewed research articles and book chapters on different topics within the field of
dermatology and has presented at national dermatology conferences.
Dr. Amin is most passionate about teaching and educating her patients on how they can
take the best care of their skin. She advocates for the highest quality of evidence-based
care for her patients while also maintaining a natural approach to aesthetic medicine.
Apart from medicine, Dr. Amin enjoys spending time with her family, maintaining a
healthy lifestyle, exploring new restaurants in Los Angeles, cooking new recipes, and
pilates.
